Event Policies and Contract

*This list of policies should answer many frequently asked questions, however if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

Policies

PRICING/FEES

Painting/Painters: 1 Hour minimum. Artist can paint approximately 10-12 small, 8-10 medium, or 6-8 large designs per hour. Be sure to book your time accordingly to avoid leaving anyone out. Sometimes an event is booked right after yours and staying past contracted time is impossible. If you want to exceed the time booked and I am available to stay, it will be charged in half hour increments. Client will pay for the time booked plus overrun, even if Client has delayed the painting start time. Please specify if you’d like to limit guests to a certain design size or theme.

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to book an event. The remaining cost and any additional charges are due on the day of the event. Client must pay for a minimum of 1 hour even if Client uses Artist for less than 1 hour. Deposit must be received as soon as possible prior to event or client runs the risk of losing that date. Event is not booked until deposit is sent. Venmo, Zelle, Cash, or Card are all acceptable methods of payment. Venmo can be sent to @Tayla-Hart, Zelle to tayla@flawlessfacepainting.com.

Travel/setup/other fees: If paying with check, there is a $20 returned check fee. Travel fees apply when the event is more than 45 minutes from 77095 in a $20 flat rate per additional hour increment with the first hour of travel being free. Any parking fees needed for the painter to park at the event must be paid to the artist the day of the event along with full payment.

PARKING

Please either leave a space open in front of the house on the street, the driveway, or a loading dock so Artist can unload equipment. The Client will reimburse Artists for any parking fees. If permit parking or passes are required, this must be received as part of deposit. Please specify unusual requirements in ‘Additional Details’ section above.

CANCELLATIONS | REFUNDS | RESCHEDULE

Should you need to reschedule your event, please do so at least 48 hours prior and I will make every effort to meet your needs. If you need to cancel the event, your deposit is not refundable but may be applied to a different date. If you book a date, I turn down other clients for that time slot; this is why the deposit is not refundable. Artist will arrive early in order to set up and start painting at the beginning of the contracted time, if unforeseen circumstances arise and Artist is late, Artist will stay after the amount of time Artist was late in order to give the full contracted paint time. **Should Artist get sick/ have to cancel, every effort will be made to find a replacement Artist. Should that fail, Client will be refunded.

WEATHER

The client agrees to provide an area with protection from extreme temperatures, sun, rain, snow and excessive wind. Client is responsible to provide an alternate indoor location in the event of inclement weather. The client agrees to pay the full amount contracted once the painter has arrived at the event location, even if it is raining. Client must cancel event 24 hours in advance in order to receive a full inclement weather refund.


BREAKS & STOP TIME

Artist will have paid breaks of 5‐10 minutes every two hours and access to a restroom. Artist will be stopping at the end of the booked time; extensions are dependent on availability the day of. I would prefer to not have to turn a bunch of kids away. Please book enough time to have all your guests painted to avoid this disappointment. Let me know if you would like me to only paint kids.

LIMITATIONS ON ARTWORK

If in public, Artist will not paint on any part of the body that is not legal to expose or anyplace she does not feel comfortable painting. In addition, Artist will not paint subject matter she deems offensive or disturbing.

EXTREME/ADVERSE WORKING CONDITIONS

Artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions and the Client fails to remedy the situation after it has been brought to the Client’s attention. Adverse conditions included but not limited to: destructive, violent, or extreme inappropriate behavior of a child, pet or adult; illegal activities; or otherwise dangerous conditions.

LIABILITY STATEMENT

While ONLY FDA approved cosmetic grade face painting supplies are used, Artist is not liable for allergic reactions to paints. People with skin allergies or sensitive skin should either not participate, or have Artist perform a patch test at the beginning of the party. Client understands that darker face paints will leave a faint stain that must be removed with mild soap, water and washcloth. For safety reasons, Artist will not paint children under 1 years old or anyone who is unwilling. For sanitary reasons, Artist will not paint anyone who is, or appears to the Artist, to be sick or suffering from cold sores, conjunctivitis, ringworm, sunburn, eczema, any infectious skin condition or open wounds. Artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The Client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests, and/or any damage to Artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets, lawn sprinklers, or guests. Under no circumstances will Artist supervise children. Their behavior and safety is the Client’s and/or Parents’ responsibility.
